Project details presented by R. Seitz, M. Duluk, C. Edman, et al.  Provided history on the site and previous uses.  Discussed scope of repair work, site/parking renovation, addition, landscaping, etc.

Committee Questions, Comments, Concerns

• Some concern about the parking lot location being so close to the street frontage with no greenspace.  Can some green or plantings be added to soften the street frontage.
• What is the growing space for the honey locust, concerned that the planter will limit growth.
• Add walk to the playground from the new walk.
• Differences in the coping for the main entrance between the color elevations and the color renderings? Per presenters, they want the coping to be slimmer than what the color renderings are showing.
• Potential for plantings at the north east corner of the site to further lead visitors to the entrance.  Per presenter, can study more plantings at northeast corner
• Can you study the use of the blue with the white/light colored mortar?  Per presenter can definitely study the use of a more complimentary color for the blue.
• Can you study the southeast side of the builing?
• Will the guard rails remain?  Can bollards be used instead?

Motion to approve with the condition to re-study the northeast corner of the site for landscape additions, adding a new walk to the playground area, and study the southeast parking lot to create a buffer along E. 32nd to the streetline.
