Work with the Mt. Pleasant NOW to see if the Storefront Program would work for them.

The committee also had the following suggestions for changes to the sign:

• The text is the bit difficult to read.  The white outline within the lettering against a white background muddies the contrast.
• The white background seems very stark against the gray facade and doesn’t allow the lettering to stand out. Consider changing the background to a light gray or something close to the color of the building to allow the words to be the focal point.
• The character spacing of the letters on the sign may be contributing to the reading strain; consider simplifying the letter outline to allow more spacing between characters for clarity.
• A second option would be to use individual letters similar to the Olchovy Hardware sign at 3694 East 131^st.  You could have a cut out of the logos and a cloud sign for the tag line at the bottom.
